The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) is in mourning following the death of former captain and players’ representative, Emma Jatto.
President Musa Nimrod expressed sorrow over his passing in a statement by the federation’s Media and Publicity Committee.
Nimrod described the late Jatto as an exceptional leader, a committed patriot of volleyball, and a strong advocate for players’ welfare.
“He was a bridge-builder whose leadership inspired teammates and earned respect from administrators, coaches and players alike,” he said.
According to him, Jatto’s contributions, especially as captain and players’ representative, were marked by dedication, integrity, discipline, and selfless service.
